Part 1: How to convert HD Video, AVCHD video to iPod?

Step 1: Import video files

Click "Add…" to import video/audio files or drag the files to the file list window directly. Here below are all the supported imported formats.

 

Step 2: Customize output settings

Select your desired output format from the categorized output formats list in "Profile" drop-down list, specify the output directory to save your converted files in "Output" drop-down list.

 

 

And you can set the related video/audio parameters (resolution, frame rate, video encoder, bit rate, sample rate and audio channel etc) in "Settings" window by clicking .

 

 

Step 3: Start conversion
After customizing the output settings, a conversion progress screen will be shown during the process where you can preview the video.  Users of slower systems will probably want to disable the preview as it uses more CPU cycles.you can start conversion by clicking "Start" button, and all the tasks will be done at fast speed and high quality.

 

 

Part 2: How to get your ideal video by editing for your iPod?

 

Apart from the basic conversion function, you can also do some editing to the video to get your desired video. Hit the Edit button to bring up some editing tools which will be shown in a real-time split screen mode so you can make adjustments to color, saturation, effects, etc. and compare to the original file. Here below are some tips:

 

Tip 1: Trim video

If you just want to convert a clip from a video file, you can click the "Trim" to capture any clip you want. In the Trim window, you can trim video length either by dragging the Start Time and End Time sliders or by setting the time parameters in each corresponding field.

 

Tip 2: Crop video:

Click "Crop" and you can resize the video. You can get the desired size of video for your iPod by selecting aspect ratio, dragging cropping frame or setting the related parameters.

Tip 3: Adjust video effect

You can make some special effect to the video. You will get an intuitive preview of the video effect before and after adjusting with two real-time previewing panes. In this example I added the Old Film effects to the video.

 

Tip 4: Edit watermark

If you want to get a personalized video by adding some information to it as watermark, you can realize it by adding either text or image information. You are also allowed to resize the added text/image.

 

 

Tip 5: Add plug-in subtitle

If you have got some videos with the corresponding plug-in subtitle file (usually in SRT format), you can add the subtitle to the video under "Subtitle" tab.

 

Note: The source file you import should be MKV file, and the plug-in subtitle file should be in SRT format. And you still have to put the MKV file and subtitle file in the same folder with the same name.

 

Part 4: How to transfer video between your iPod and PC?
Sometimes, you will find it boring to transfer files between your iPod and PC. Now you can use Wondershare Video to iPod Converter to transfer files to iPod directly without iTunes after the conversion is done.
