Flash files are widely used on the Internet. They usually have comparatively very small sizes and can be easily shared with others. 1、Add files
Click the “Load file” button to add your video files from your hard drive.
2、Select output format
Select an output format and specify the output folder on the bottom of the window. If you are a web designer you may want to select “FLV “ or “Application”; if you are a home user, you may want to select Flash File (*.swf) or Screen Saver (*scr”)

3、Edit Files
Click the Edit button to start editing each added video file. You can edit your file by cropping video, trimming movie length and setting movie effects.
a. Crop Video
If a video file has black video sides around, you can crop the black sides off. You can just specify the video crop area by dragging the crop frame or directly setting the crop values.
b. Trim Video Length
If you just want to convert a clip from a video file, you can click the Trim tab to trim your movie. You can trim a movie length by dragging the Start Time and End Time sliders (the highlighted two sliders by rectangles).
You can also trim a movie by marking the start and the end: During the preview, if you want to set the current time as the start time, click the oval highlighted button on the left; if you want to set the current time as the end time, click the oval highlighted button on the right. Then the video clip in between will be captured.
The easiest way to trim a movie is to directly input the Start time and the End time. In the left pane, enter the Start time in the “Start time” field and click OK, and then enter the End time in the “End time” field and click OK.
c. Set Movie Effects
If you want to change the original video effect, you can click the Effect tab to set the video brightness, contrast and saturation. You can also choose to apply a special effect to your video from the available effects including Gray, Emboss and Negative.
Select a template
Click the Template button to open the Template window. You can click on any player template in the left pane to preview and select the template. Then click OK to save your selection.
Convert Movie
After you finish the above steps, click the Start button to start converting your movies, and now you can just wait till the conversion is finished.
Video to Flash Encoder has some very useful functions to make your movies more professional and fun. The following are a few tip that you may find to be helpful:
Add Movie Credits
If a movie is a home video taken by yourself or your friends, you can add movie credits to the beginning and the end of your movie. The program allows you to use either a background color or a background image as your credit background.
In the Edit window, you can find two tabs: Head and Tail.
Click on the Head tab, you can add opening credits such as a movie title, the “director”, and the “leading actors” and so on to your movie, and then set the font of your opening credits.
Click on the Tail tab, you can add closing credits such as the cast view and the sponsors etc., and then set the font of your closing credits.
Note: If you have select a background color and an background image, the program will just take the background image and ignore the background color in the converted movie.
Add Watermark
In the Template window, you can add a hyperlinked text watermark or image watermark to your movie. Tick the Water Mark: check the Text option if you want to add a text watermark ; check the Image option if you want to add an image watermark.
To add a text watermark, you can just type in the text you want to add and set the text font. When you see the text appear on the preview pane, you can drag it to adjust its position on the screen.
To add an image watermark, you can just click the Browse button as heighted in the screenshot below. When you see the image appear on the preview pane, you can drag it to adjust its position on the screen, and drag its sides to adjust its size.
Merge FLV files
If you convert videos to FLV files, we recommend that you check the Merge function. Thus, the converted files can be played on the player with each file having a thumbnail above the progress bar of the player. And you can click on a thumbnail to play the corresponding file.
