This is the step by step guide for Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac.
Step 1: Add video files into Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac
Launch DVD Ripper for Mac, there are three ways of loading DVD. You are allowed to add multiple DVD folders.
a. The program will automatically detect DVD files and start loading.
b. Click File -> Load DVD or Load DVD Files from main menu to browse your computer hard drive and select the DVD you want to Load.
c. Just easily drag and drop DVD files into program for converting.
Step 2: Select the optimized output format (Apple Devices, Apple Software, Game Console, Common Video Formats, etc.)
Click image button like from each item, set output file name and click Format to choose output format from following list. There are a variety of video and audio formats for output.
Step 3: Start conversion
After all the settings, click the Convert -> Start Conversion.
Tips: Edit video before conversion (Optional)
With this Mac DVD ripper, you can also edit videos by trimming, cropping, rotating and adding special effects before conversion. Click Edit from main menu and select editing functionalities.
Tip 1: Load DVD resource
You can load DVD files either from your DVD-ROM or the copy of DVD folder in your computer. By selecting IFO files from VIDEO_TS folder in DVD, you can press COMMAND+A to choose all the IFO files. For DVD ISO image, you can mount the iso file in your virtual DVD emulator, say Daemon Tools, and then load the DVD movie in Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac program.
Tip 2: Set output video and audio parameters
You are allowed to adjust video and audio setting such as codec, resolution, frame rate, etc. Please click image button like from each video item, and choose Option button, then you could change the settings from following window.
Tip 3: Preview, Capture pictures and Select output directory
You can preview the whole DVDs and capture pictures in the Preview window.
The DVD Ripper for Mac supports .jpg and .bmp picture formats. Click Video Converter -> Preference -> Output from main menu, you can choose directory for locating converted files and screen captures.
Tip 4: Apply to all
After selecting a format for output, click 'Apply to all' and all the output video formats for chapters or titles you selected are the same as the selected format.
Tip 5: Merge output videos into one file
Check 'Merge into one file' to join all selected DVD titles and chapters into one video after the conversion.
Tip 6: Change output video file name
Rename each title/chapter in the 'File name' field.
Tip 7: Select subtitle and audio track
Select the subtitle and audio track for the titles/chapters if you want.
Tip 8. Trim segments
If you just want to convert clips from your DVD movie, you can click the Trim icon to capture a clip. In the Trim window, you can trim the length of the current title/chapter by dragging the Start Time and End Time sliders.
Tip 9. Crop output video size and Rotation
If your DVD video has black sides or you just want the certain scene, you can use this Crop function to remove them. Click the Crop icon to open the Crop window, and set the video crop area by choosing optimized proportion from Zoom or dragging the crop frame or setting the four crop parameters (Top, Bottom, Left and Right).
Click Rotation tab to rotate videos by 90 degrees CW/CCW and 180 degrees.
Tip 10. Adjust effect of the output video
If you want to change the original video effect, you can click the Effect icon to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation, and even audio volume. You can also apply a artistic effect to your movie video from the Filters including Gray, Emboss, Negative etc.
